This beautiful hillside village provides visitors with an exceptional panorama. From Moustiers to Castellane, from the Ventoux to Luberon, from Sainte Baume to Sainte Victoire and as far as the Maures range. All of Provence is spread out before your eyes. The pretty stone houses encircling the château bring local residents peace and tranquility.
The site belonged to some of the great families of Provence, the Castellane, Vintimille and the Earls of Forbin. The château is the biggest in Provence, and the park is listed as an Historic Monument. Since 2003, the building, with its 365 doors and windows, has begun a new life. The new owners have started gigantic renovation work on the 5000 m², badly deteriorated building. Today it is open to the public from June to September, and visitors can see, among other things, haute couture exhibitions, collections of traditional costumes and period furniture. Themed historical visits in the daytime and by candlelight at night, or a cocktail dinner in the evening in the stateroom bring a golden age back to life.
