Built on a headland, this village, which is listed as a "village of character", fans out from its château. The view overlooking the vast Durance plain, as far as the Canjuers plateau, is superb. If you walk along the narrow streets lined with the high stone walls of the houses, you will soon arrive in one of the spacious town squares, in the shade of plane trees. Here life flows on gently, keeping pace with the seasons.
The impressive château, which is still privately owned, was the summer residence of noble Provence familles and magistrates from Aix. Today, although the building is not open to the public, it is still possible to take a pleasant walk along the paths of its French-style garden.
